More than 1 440 women photographers, from nearly 90 countries have applied to the 5th edition of the Prix Virginia.
It’s a first for the Prix Virginia! The candidates have never been so many and so international! For the record, they were nearly 400 from 43 countries in 2018 for the 4th edition.
The Prix Virginia team could not be happier to see that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the delicate situations it has occurred in each country have not discourage the women photographers and their creative urge. To the contrary.
However, due to the strict sanitary rules, the travel’s new state of disarray and the current global uncertainty, the Prix Virginia has decided to postpone the award ceremony from November 5th, 2020 to early 2021.
The date and the location will be communicated in January 2021.
